Meet Kelli Bagby

I’ve been interested in small business ownership ever since I was in high school. I have long admired entrepreneurs and business owners for your hard work, determination, and vision to create something for others that wasn’t there before.

I have seen the power of working for oneself- yes it’s tiring, all consuming, and scary! But the rewards, the flexibility, the purpose you feel working long hours for yourself rather than someone else is unmatched. I have seen how successful businesses can change the landscape of a neighborhood and consequently people’s lives.

I’m beyond thrilled to launch Truly Bookkeeping, a company whose mission is to help communities thrive through flourishing businesses. So much of what we know is determined by what we see around us. If we see businesses that are failing, our perspective on life and our own future will be skewed. However, if we see businesses that are thriving, we will be encouraged and full of hope for ourselves and neighbors about the possibilities for our future. That’s what I want to bring to communities.

I have 20 years of experience working with a variety of businesses including non-profits, social service agencies, breweries and investment advisors, to name a few.  I have an MBA from the University of South Florida and over 20 years of bookkeeping, operations, and finance experience. I have also obtained an education certificate from The American College for the Certified Financial Planning designation.

Technology has transformed the way we conduct business.  I use technology to enhance my virtual bookkeeping practice to ensure security and efficiency.

I am a Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor as well as Cloud Best Practice Certified.

Amy Hernandez

In the years of being a small business owner, Amy found her passion in providing financial support to other entrepreneurs and business owners. She went on to pursue that dream by earning a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Texas (Hook ‘Em!) with a focus in accounting.

She currently resides in Texas with her children and husband while he serves in the United States Army. When she is not taking care of our clients’ financial needs, she is driving her kids around and adventuring as a family!!

Ashley Carter

Ashley graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a BS in Business Administration focused in Accounting. Since then, she has worked in the accounting arena for 14 years preparing tax returns, assisting in financial audits, liaising between governmental entities for funding, corporate accounting, etc.
What Ashley loves about accounting is that the numbers don't lie. They are or they are not. She thinks bringing chaos into order is very satisfying. Having the background to look at financial statements and instantly know that and where an error likely came from makes accounting enjoyable. We know, nerd alert! She really loves the clients that she gets to work with and am pretty picky on who gets her time. Life is hard enough without the added anxiety of talking about finances with someone whom you don't enjoy their company. She is thankful for the amazing clients she gets to work with at Truly Bookkeeping!
Ashley currently lives and mostly likely to continue living in Oklahoma. The flat plains and windy breeze has managed to grow on her. After living in strict neighborhoods for many years, she is enjoying the freedom of acreage and animals. Her family is the priority and she enjoys adventuring with them.  Remote bookkeeping helps to make that possible!

Bethany Lashbrook

Bethany embarked on her financial career by taking a position at a local nonprofit in 2010. Despite her background in biology, she discovered a fascination for numbers and chose to pursue a career as a bookkeeper, extending her services to various nonprofits and businesses. In 2020, she discovered her aspiration to work remotely and formally joined the Truly Bookkeeping team in September 2023. She finds joy in problem-solving, relishing the intricacies of numbers with a keen eye for details.
Bethany is a life-long resident of Illinois, has been married to Clinton for 20 years and has two adult children, Savannah and Gabrielle. During her leisure time, she engages in gardening, baking, journaling and enjoys family vacations!

Amy graduated with a bachelor's of science in Accounting from Park University in Parkville, MO in 2018. She has worked as a bookkeeper and staff accountant in several different industries and decided that she likes the one-on-one interaction with businesses through remote bookkeeping best.
She currently lives in Virginia, but is a military spouse and has lived all over. Virginia is their 10th state! She has three very active kids that keep her busy after work. She enjoys exercising, watching college sports (GO Louisville!!), and reading in her spare time. Accounting was a desirable major for her because of my lifestyle. As a military spouse she moves often and she needed a flexible career that she could do anywhere. She love numbers and seeing them through the accounting lens fascinated her from her very first accounting class!

Lynette Marroquin

Lynette Marroquin, based in Los Angeles, is a dedicated virtual assistant, proud mother, and wife. Since 2020, she has been actively engaged as a virtual assistant, with a primary focus on the consulting and coaching industry. However, her versatile skill set extends beyond, having collaborated with professionals in the interior design and wedding planning sectors.

With an extensive background in the non-profit sector spanning several years, Lynette has excelled in a diverse range of administrative tasks, showcasing proficiency in customer service, software management, financial oversight, and project management, among others.

Her overarching life goal is to achieve and promote a harmonious work-life balance, a philosophy she extends to assist others. Lynette has discovered that her most productive moments coincide with intentional acts of self-care, mindfulness, and adequate rest. Beyond the professional realm, you can often find Lynette enjoying picnics at a local park with her family, baking homemade goodies with her daughter, or journaling her gratitude list.
